Sheila Lang, M.Ed., ITFS
Developmental Therapist

Sheila graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Intervention and Family Support as well as a B-K (birth-kindergarten) certification. She also holds a NC Teaching License in both English as a Second Language and French from North Carolina State University. She has extensive experience working with children with autism, Down syndrome, speech and language delays, and sensory processing issues. Before becoming a developmental therapist, she taught in inclusive preschool settings for eight years, serving both typically developing and developmentally-delayed children. Sheila has a strong personal commitment to early intervention as a parent of a teenager with autism. She strongly advocates for families and empowers them to advocate for their child. She is especially respectful of families’ priorities, concerns, and cultural and familial values and truly values her relationship with both the child and family.
