Kandi obtained her B.A in Psychology from William and Mary and her M.Ed. from UNCG. She has worked with children with special needs since 1998. She has worked with children with Autism, Sensory issues, Down Syndrome, global developmental delays, CP, hearing/speech impairments, prematurity, behavioral issues, and attention deficit. Kandi believes in helping each child reach their full potential through various strategies including structured tasks, baby sign language, sensory techniques, and facilitating play activities with prompting and hand over hand assistance. Therapy activities are individualized and based on the child’s and family’s needs.
